New iMovie as offline (?) editing for P2HD
I was checking around the new iMovie and found out that when P2 card is mounted, the capturing window pops up and let you import from P2 card directly! And that is not all, it let you save the XML file for FCP.
When you work with AppleTV project size, 960 x 540 (you can also change that to 1920 x 1080), iMovie imports P2 clips as AIC (I guess) 960 x 540 and let you edit and also use the Apple's regular scheme to let you export it to dotMac, like iWeb and the new web gallery, AND even to YouTube directly. It converts the timeline as H.264 as you select the exporting scheme. Finally, the XML file read by FCP connects the original online P2 footage files. It seems to be too much features for the money. |

However, I can't seem to get a 24 fps export.
iMovie is kinda of cool. Wish to could also have a couple of presets for DVCProHD footage. |
