This story says it's supposed to ship in September.
http://www.digitalcamcordernews.com/...ital-camcorder Of course, there's a difference between when something "starts shipping", and when you can get ahold of it. Only way to know is to contact your dealer and see what the real story is. |

Keep in mind - it's a 1080 (or 480) cam - it doesn't have 720 - if that matters to you...

Angel,
The point Shawn brings up is important; the HPX2000 & 3000 cameras do not shoot VFR or variable frame rates and cannot over/under-crank. Many have assumed that because the imager in the HPX3000 is 2.2MP that it will be the "P2 Varicam", but it's not. However it will create amazing, high resolution, ultra-clean imagery, just not 720p and no VFR. |

The HPX2000 can do a limited bit of overcranking if you conform the footage in post to a new timebase; you can import a 60p sequence into a 30p or 24p timeline and get some slow motion out of it that way.
With the 3000 it's more limited; you could put a 30p sequence into a 24p timeline but that's about it... |
