Rack focus
Is there a best way to rack focus with the HVX 200? thanks

Not sure what you're asking. HVX200 is ideal for rack focusing; its focus ring is precise and perfectly repeatable; the LCD also gives distance readouts to show exactly where the focus distance is set.
We usually just stick a snip of colored tape on the focus ring at mark 1, and another snip at mark 2, and then racking between them is simple and repeatable. You can also use a mechanical follow focus if you want. |

It's an extention of the focus ring that is geared onto a wheel with a white marker disc.
Helps a great deal especialy with prosumer camera's and also gives a more solid focus adjustment. See pics below. Last edited by Matt Burton; August 3rd, 2007 at 08:43 PM. |
