Pan GH6 External Power ?
Greetings -- has anyone found a reliable external power source / battery option -- for powering the PPan GH6 - and this external power allowing full 5.7K video recording ? I tried the "Jupio" external battery - but it wouldn't allow 5.7K recording. Some YouTube posts say that the Anker 28,600 mAh battery bank "powers" the camera -- BUT -- no mention that it allows 5.7K recording. Looking for solution -- Thanks !

Re: Pan GH6 External Power ?
I use the Anker PowerCore + 26800 PD 45W unit as recommended and it will power and charge the battery while recording 5.7K

Re: Pan GH6 External Power ?
Ron -- just bought the Anker Power Core 26,800 - 45W - 60W -- can't really read the print on the manual its so damn small ! What USB port are you powering from - the usb port furthest to the left - or the usb port closest to the "IQ" logo - as you look at the face of the unit ? Thanks for reply !

Re: Pan GH6 External Power ?
You must use the port on the end that says PD . It is a USB C port and I use the same port and cable that came with the unit to charge it too. The USB C to USB C cable. So use the same cable to charge the unit as well as connect to the GH6.

Re: Pan GH6 External Power ?
Oops -- forgot to ask -- have you tested the "run time" of the Anker when recording 5.7 K ?
Thanks in advance !

Re: Pan GH6 External Power ?
Hey Ron -- sorry to bother you again -- so I hooked up the Anker after charging (without the Pan battery installed) and nothing - no power to the camera. Only way to power the camera was if I had BOTH Anker and Pan battery hooked up/installed. So - what next ? Does the Anker "take over" when the Pan battery runs low - or what takes place ?
Appreciate your replies ! Russ G

Re: Pan GH6 External Power ?
You must always have the battery in the camera. It will be maintained at full charge so if you then remove the USB battery it will carry on uninterrupted. The Anker runs the camera AND charges the battery at the same time. Both must be installed. I have another USB powerbank that is not PD and it will power the camera in the same way but the Panasonic battery in this case runs down slowly so not good. Still better than nothing and when not recording this powerbank will charge the battery just not run and charge at the same time. In all cases the camera battery has to be present.
