Any workarounds yet for Finder/Quicktime not preview alot of S5 footage?
Hi folks. I'm about 6 months into not being able to preview a bunch of my S5 footage in Finder. Even more so than not being able to preview the footage, is not even having a Thumbnail for it. I have to Right Click and select VLC to see each individual clip. Obviously if I import all of it into a FCPX or Premiere I can see all the clips, but there's plethora of times I'm just quickly flicking through Finder (file management, quick clip review, etc). I'm fine with it not working in Quicktime (i.e. if I double click on it to open it in Quicktime because I never need to do that, and that starting happening around 10 bit), but I'm curious if anybody has found a good workaround for this yet. It cuts my productivity a certain measure, daily.
I kept expecting Apple to release some kind of an update but it hasn't happened. To be fair, I'm on Big Sur and not Monterey, so perhaps there's an issue there? Anybody else dealing with this? Codec screengrab from VLCn attached, finder image, etc. |
