G9 AVCHD recording limits at DVinfo.net

My venerable G7 can record unlimited time in AVCHD ...(and also 4K with hack) ... does anybody please can confirm if the G9 can also record unlimited in AVCHD ? ... I'm thinking on upgrade my camera ...

I have a Lumix G9. I purchased it here in New Zealand where I am now living (previously in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico). So I conducted a test. Because this is a PAL country I was only able to select 50p AVCHD and not 60p. I can report the camera shut down after 29minutes and 59 seconds, as promised in the advanced operator’s manual, and on the screen momentarily appeared “Recording Stopped Because Limits Exceeded”. I can also report that the camera remained as cool as a cucumber. I was shooting at comfortable room temperature (not dry season on the sunny side of the street in SMA).
