Just Picked Up The GH5 & Have Questions
I have 3 Sony NEX FS100 cameras and I have never used a DSLR and so I'm not familiar with the setting on this cam.
*The first problem I can't seem to figure out is my ISO Limits. ISO Values past 3200 are grayed out. I want to set my threshold to 6400 but can seem to figure out how to do so while it is grayed out. |

Put the camera into Creative Control mode, press the ISO button then use the front wheel to change the setting.

Thanks for posting the links to the GH5 Manuals. Check page 107 of the advanced manual for more information about setting ISO.

Re: Just Picked Up The GH5 & Have Questions
Thank you for the help. I tried that already but I could not seem to access values above 3200 or below 200. I since found a video that allows viewers to download their GH5 camera settings and now those values are no longer grayed out.
This was the Youtube video I found just in case it may help someone else: |

Re: Just Picked Up The GH5 & Have Questions
Maybe it's just my setup but my only disappointment so far with the GH5 is the camera raw .rw2 stills. Looks like it's changed from the GH3 .rw2 raw file format. I can no longer load these .rw2 raw files from the GH5 into CS6 Photoshop. As far as I can tell I have the newest "available" Adobe camera raw version but these newer files can't be read. I would hate to have to go to CC6 version but looks like I may have to.

Re: Just Picked Up The GH5 & Have Questions
You need to go to the menu below the movie icon, its a c and wrench icon. Under "exposure" turn ON "Extended ISO". Then you can go back to the movie menu and under ISO Sensitivity ( video ) you can set the upper and lower limits for ISO operation in auto.
You will now be able to set ISO in manual operation between 100 and 128000 by pressing the ISO button and scrolling using the wheel. EDIT ::Just got home and looked on my PC rather than phone. Yes the video is a much better description !!! |
