gymbal for G7 - crane M ?

...I´m thinking in the new Zhiyun Crane M for size / weight combination (G7 with 42.5 lens is well under 650 gr payload limit) .... any comment or recommendation about this (or another, non obtrusive gymbal) would be greatly apreciated ....

Kind Regards

If you can hold out another few months, the gymbal market has become very competitive and prices are dropping at a rather fast pace.

I was tempted to get the m crane or its big brother but held off due to a change in priorities. But the m crane @ $400 with a mirror less camera is your best value for light weight gimbal work. Of course there's always the option of non electric light gimbal for mirrorless especially if you dedicate it so there isn't any balancing setup.

I have the Zhiyun-Tech Crane (not the smaller "m" version) but I guess they both operate in the same way, I do find my version a bit too big but it is quite smooth in motion, much better anyway then my beholder ms1 which I had before, that one always caused jitters in the image. I also like the inverted mode meaning being able to hold the camera close to the ground and the fact that I can flip open my lcd screen so that I have a much better view on the screen while moving around.

Re: gymbal for G7 - crane M ?

Have you seen the youtube video where its out fitted with a gimbal handle to remove any up and down movement?

Back a few weeks ago I was thinking of using my dslr or getting the lighter m version for a mirror less. So how do you like it? How quiet are the motors? i.e. does it make the camera's audio unusable or is it distraction? I can imagine anything you need to hold out in front of you will make you arm tired longer than 5 min especially a dslr.

Re: gymbal for G7 - crane M ?

I need any gimbal I purchase to be multi purpose. I use this gimbal: https://www.gremsy.com/product/gremsy-h3 Handheld on the ground, in the air, on a boom/crane, and on a car mount.

The key to using it in so many applications is how you control the gimbal and camera remotely. This gimbal has s_Bus built in.

I like the concept of a single hand gimbal but its been my experience that there's not enough stability on the tilt axis for DSLR's when its only supported on one side.
