Lumix GX85
The recently announced Panasonic Lumix GX85\GX80, good looking 4k capable with seemingly very good stabilization, might just fit quite nicely on the end of my Lumix 14-140 lens and come in handy now and again. A lightweight it is when measured in both grams, 426 g with battery and memory card, and dollars, $800.00 US which includes a Lumix G Vario 12-32mm. My guess is that body only down the road a bit might be around $500.00 US. No mic input no surprise and that's a show stopper for many no doubt, but still...
What's the catch, I wonder? |

Re: Lumix GX85
I"m going to use it at weddings with the 42,5mm f1.7 mainly for eyecandy shots and headshots handheld so sound is not important for that, as that lens is stabilized it should give a 5 axis stabilization, from what I have seen from another user it is very stable handheld with that lens so I"m looking forward into giving it a testrun when it arrives, the store had a 5 day deliverytime as it was not in stock so hope to get it next week as my next wedding is in 3 weeks. I paid 495 euro excl taxes for it so it's a good deal.
