lumix gx8
Hi,
I want to take a reasonable good camera on the boat & when the GX8 was advertised as weather sealed I thought I'd finally found the right camera. However before I get one I was wndering if any of you have had the chance to play with it & what your verdict is. cheers |

Re: lumix gx8
Had a quick play with one last week and I like it. I also own a GX7 and like that also. Plenty of customisation, it is quite big for a M4/3 though there is a user experience here from a guy who raves about it

Re: lumix gx8
Hi,
I just tried the GX8 in 4K MP4 & after ingesting into FCP X the footage info is 1280 x 720 p. Full HD 50p also shows up as 1280 x 720p. The clip thumbnail info shows MP4 50 p as 49.83 fps 1920 x 1080. 4K25p shows up as 3480 x 2160 24.87 fps. Anyone know what's going on here ? Isn't 50p supposed to be 50fps ? |

Ok, problem solved. Found out a few days later that my collegue who "looked" through the new camera moments before taking footage & didn't tell me he'd gone into the menu settings.
