Watch out, it's the dreaded 1/2.3'' form factor that so far has proven terrible in terms of optics for 4K for the FZ300. I'd veer completely away from that sensor size cause it's nothing but trouble.

I'll be curious to see the footage it produces. 600 mm would be useful for a lot of wildlife stuff. Looks like it has a servo as well.

Isn't the FZ300 a update on the FZ1000 which has a similar lens?
Panasonic need, IMHO, to get some more MFT lenses out, long ones and power zooms, instead of this inundation of "new" cameras. Ron |

I have two FZ1000 and they don't have the dreaded 1/2.3" sensor but the 1" sensor and it's great in low light! The X1000 also has the poor 1/2.3" sensor as well and people report that it's a bummer in low light too!!! Wonder why they used that sensor in a new release???

Supposedly it has less megapixels but is that gross amount or effective? If it's effective, the actual sensor might still be 20 megapixels and will suffer in low light.

With the FZ300 and 1000 becoming available as well as the G8 ..surely this qualifies the Panasonic forum to have a new header for the newer 4K bridge cameras please Chris Hurd ...we would be so happy if there was somewhere to post these new babies
