GH4 4k Anamorphic Lens Test
A little bit of footage from my first time with a GH4.
Full 4K grabs: https://flic.kr/s/aHsjXmoFMh Thanks for looking!

Re: GH4 4k Anamorphic Lens Test
Nice colors! Is it the Anamorphic Lens that makes the image a bit blurry on the sides? I personally don't like this kind of super squeezed format.

Re: GH4 4k Anamorphic Lens Test
The lenses have a curved DOF, so on wide shots you can get that edge blurring.
I normally crop my videos down to a less extreme aspect ratio, but I left this one as is because I liked the compositions more. With 4K, cropping the sides of 2x anamorphic footage is no problem, so much resolution to spare.

Re: GH4 4k Anamorphic Lens Test
I like it, because it's different. A feature length film that wide might not be as watchable, but for a short it could be very interesting as long as care was taken with the composition.
