GH3 Shutter Speeds!
I have read on various forums when shooting 50P you should set the shutter to 1/125th and I have never been able to comprehend why although the pictures do look right until...
So I set the shutter to 1/50th and shoot 25P all looks good I then shoot 50P and it doesn't on playback so I assume and I have read that you need to shoot at 1/125th and it looks right on the camera but on transferring to the AVID I transcode to DNXHD for a 1080i project and the footage now looks over shuttered, so shooting at 1/50th looks right once the files have been transcoded, this is really strange but I can't work out why this would be. I assume the same is for 30P and 60P but it would be interesting to have this confirmed.

Re: GH3 Shutter Speeds!
It's my understanding that the shutter should be 180 degrees to the playback frame rate. If I shoot 60p I playback at 30 fps basically dropping alternate frames so I use a 1/60 shutter. If the 60p is to be used for slomo and conformed to 30 fps then shoot 1/120.
