Price Drop on Panasonic GH3
There's a price drop on Panasonic GH3. Will the GH2 prices now come down? Who knows....

Re: Price Drop on Panasonic GH3
Sadly, since the GH2 is no longer in production. Its price will continue upwards until they are completely out of stock.
If you want the GH2's image quality at a price lower than the GH3, you might want to take a serious look the G6. In side-by-side comparisons with the hacked GH2, the $750 G6 looks pretty darned good - especially at today's GH2 prices: Low Light: Resolution: Interiors/Exteriors: Interiors/Moire/Skew: Cheers, Bill Hybrid Camera Revolution |

Re: Price Drop on Panasonic GH3
I think it is the hacking culture that keeps the price of the GH2 up there. The GH1 kept a decent value until the GH2 was hacked then everybody was giving the GH1 away. There are still some who feel the GH2 can look better than the GH3 based on the ability to hack the bitrates higher. If that is true or not is debatable but it is true that the GH2 can easilly hold its own against the GH3 which means people still want them. As long as people want them the price will stay higher.
