GH3 recording lag and chopped off footage?
The review done by EOS HD for DPreview says that there's a 1 second lag between pressing record and recording starting. It also reports 1.5 to 2 seconds of footage is chopped off at the end of recording. Is that still the case or has it been fixed by firmware?

Re: GH3 recording lag and chopped off footage?
There is a disconcerting lag if the camera has gone to sleep mode. If you are shooting short shots continuously, the camera goes into record instantly. I have never lost footage at the end of a recording in either firmware versions so I am not sure what they are experiencing. Perhaps they were not using fast enough SD cards or they received a demo camera loaded with beta firmware.

Ditto. Unless the camera is in sleep mode, recording starts immediately - and stops when I press the shutter button.
With a slow card, it will take a second or two to save the file, but I don't lose any footage. Bill |
