HDMI output GH3 does not work on all devices
I am building a remote controlled boat for wilflife filming, with a GH3 on it. The idea is to convert the HDMI signal to an analog composite signal in ortder to send the signal to a receiver on land. I have purchased a HDMI-S Video converter to concvert the signal. The strange thing is that the converter recognises and converts the signal of other HDMI devices (tested it with the out of a desktop screen and put it with the converter on an old CRT television screen). But is does not see the HDMI signal of the GH3 or is not able to convert it to the same CRT televison. Does anyone have a clue?

Re: HDMI output GH3 does not work on all devices
I had a similar problem with a BlackMagic UltraStudio adapter. A bad cable turned out to be the first problem but after finally getting a good cable I found that the HDMI out was different from the selected frame rate that was being recorded to the SD cards. That is, I was recording 24p to the SD cards but the HDMI was delivering pure 29.97 (no pulldown, every frame was different) to the UltraStudio. I compared the footage to see the difference. Connecting the HDMI to a standard LCD TV gave me true 24p when I was recording to the SD card. Something is up with how the GH3 talks with various HDMI devices.
