Another GH2
I developed a spot on the LCD of my camera so It has to go back for warranty.
I've gotten to the point that I depend on this little camera. I use it at least once a week for paid shoots either as the B with a camcorder or stand alone. So...I ordered a second body today and more batteries. I did sell my 7D because it's just been gathering dust. |

Re: Another GH2
Congrats on your 2nd body. I did the same thing. B&H had it on sale for $699, so I jumped on it.
I have three lenses, so I may as well have a 2nd body to use as a B camera. It's nice to have 2 matching cameras (and a 2nd battery and charger)! Enjoy! Angelo

Re: Another GH2
That's a good deal....btw, if anyone else is looking for a second camera, there's one for sale on Personal View. Of course, I got my new one today so I missed out.

Re: Another GH2
I did too order and receive another GH2. I am glad I did as this is the best HD video camera at it's price bar none. The video quality compares to cameras costing 10 times as much. I bought the second because I don't know if Panasonic will cripple the GH3 like Canon did with the 5DmarkIII.

Re: Another GH2
The gh2 is a work horse. Originally I thought mine would be a backup but it's turned out to be my main camera more often than not. I thought the t4i would tempt me to get a canon but I don't see that happening. Im strictly video, very rarely take photos. My next will prob be the gh3.

Re: Another GH2
I just bought a second GH2 from fellow forum member, Alan Ortiz. I had been shooting live events with a Canon XHA1 getting the wide angle. Color matching in post was a pain, not to mention the video quality of the GH2 destroying the XHA1. Now I'll be able to get matched footage.

It's amazing how many of us are doing this (going for second GH2 or body), and my 7D also went to a new home recently. My 60D may go, too. I'm reaching for a GH2 instead, so it's kind of sitting in a corner of the safe whining from neglect. |
