What a remarkable lens setup. I love it. Thanks for posting!

I want to add that your video is exceptionally well done.

Re: 4-12mm 1.2 Tamron on GH2
Found myself with some play money and decided to buy this lens... and now it's just about one of my favorites. Granted, it's useless without ETC or for stills, it has ugly square bokeh, is the absolute inverse of parfocal, distorts images wildly at the wide end, can't really be called sharp, and is fiddly at best to focus and manipulate... but simply having a ridiculously fast wide-angle macro zoom lens? Definitely worth $100!
I added in a 2x extender to make it somewhat useable for stills or ETC-less, albeit two stops slower... which is still somewhat useable. Thanks for revealing this lens' possibilities |

Re: 4-12mm 1.2 Tamron on GH2
Here's a mildly dippy, far less polished example of the lens in real-world, uncontrolled, extremely rushed and unfacilitated use. Used nothing but this lens, and didn't grade the footage aside from some color correction for some fiercely YELLOW fluoro lights in a pavilion. Whee!
Also wanted to add that it took me all of 5 minutes to "modify" the lens to fit the c-mount adapter using a dremel tool on the plastic lens collar... I put some gaffer tape over the lens barrel ends to protect the glass, all worked out fine. |

What a fun video Kevin. What is sad is that I just ordered a 8mm fisheye that at over twice the price that will be twice as slow!
Lens is cool. You clearly had a good time with it. Nice family. The baby gave me the evil eye. I'll have nightmares for a week.
