Patrick, you might try cropping for more dramatic and effective composition. Here are some ideas for you.

Ideally you must crop with your feet with the 25mm, but when that is not possible there is much you can do in post as well. While I'm far from being any kind of authority, the general idea is you want to eliminate extraneous clutter from the frame that will distract from the viewer's focus on the subject.

The tatoo girl is not the oreintation you chose, but the idea is the same no matter how you compose your shot.

Keep snapping!

Re: Pictures I took last night...

Jeff, it was a busy club, and I wasn't going for perfection, just snapping off shots. Some of those shots I definitely had no choice but to include clutter. However, I did love your edits, good work! I did nothing in post, just uploaded. What's funny is the girl in the top right you posted has a photography degree, and she asked to play with my camera, so I let her, and she took the photo you posted in the upper left and the one which you changed the orientation. By the way, good call on the black and white. At one point I was shuffling through the looks presets and seeing the black and white gave me the idea to convert a few of them in post, but forgot when I got home. Now you're making me want to go fix 'em all lol.

Yes, everything was shot with the Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95. I was traveling light so only brought one lens. I had the ISO between 800-1600. I was pretty amazed to see low noise at 1600. I used the Smooth setting with everything at -2.

OK Patrick, I didn't realize you were merely showing off the lens.

Re: Pictures I took last night...

I wasn't showing off the lens. I was striving for creative angles and shots, but it wasn't exactly a controlled environment was all I was saying. I'm a photography n00b, so I do appreciate your advice.
