There is a really fantastic 'Dummies' book on the T3i/600D. Often these books are a too jokey for my taste but this one strikes the right balance between informal & informative. It is very comprehensive & illustrated in colour including screen shots from the camera's LCD screen. The Canon manual is pretty decent but small format & monochrome. The 400 page "Canon EOS Rebel T3i/600D For Dummies" is a really good example of what can be done & needs to be done given the oftentimes incomprehensible GH2 manual.
