Photography?
Hey, has anyone here branched out their video business to include photography since using this camera or other DSLR's? As a freelancer I'd like to be able to take on as many projects as possible, and although I'm not a photographer, now that I have a GH2 and already understand video, I figure it can't be too hard to make the transition. Do any of you take on photography gigs? What would I need gear-wise? I'd imagine an external flash (any recommendations?). I have an ARRI tungsten light kit, will this work well for photography, or is strobe lighting necessary? Thanks!!

I am quite well experienced in photography and I may tell you the GH2 sensor provides awesome pictures! You won't be disappointed with its quality, if you can handle GH2 properly. I would advice you something if it would be a wildlife photography, as birds and wildlife is my background. However - solid sturdy tripod is a must, no matter what your subject is. Gittzo or Bogen or such alike.

What tripod do you use? I'm having a few issues with my Libec LS22. It's convenient and very portable, but it's delicate like a flower and transmits a lot of vibration. |
