Wanted - video from Panasonic Lumix G 7-14mm f/4.0 Lens - Any videos posted??
Looking for some test footage from the 7-14mm lens. I am curious how bad the barrel distortion might be on this lens. At $899 its a big investment without knowing if its going to work out for me.
Any links or if you own this lens consider doing some posts? Or is there something better? Is there a fixed 10mm or similar lens? Because that would be the ideal wide unless barral distortion is so bad it would not match the 14mm lens in preceding cuts. Im after the best widest wides i can get without noticeable barrel distortion.

"The Panasonic 7-14mm produced some raised eyebrows for us when we looked at the distortion chart. Distortion is extremely well-controlled in this lens, with practically no distortion between 8-12mm, very slight barrel distortion at 7mm and very slight pincushion distortion at 14mm." Search YouTube for "Panasonic 7-14mm", I just did and got quite a few hits. None on Vimeo for some reason.

That'll teach me to put the word "Panasonic" in my Vimeo searches. :-) B&H has them for $775. There's a rumor that a OIS version is coming...

Here's a video that I made over the summer. Lots of 7-14mm shots in it.

Hey Tyson,
One on vimeo with GH2: Also, check out the the "GH2 Skate" and "Africa" pieces. The segments are not labeled, but some of scenes were apparently shot with the 7-14mm lens. LUMIX G Micro System Professional Movie | LUMIX | Digital Camera | Panasonic Global |
