Some recent work with a hack + Zeiss ZF

Music video for "Bola de Cristal" by Costarican artist Ale Fernández (Ale Fernández). Shot in San José and en route to the Irazú volcanoe over 2 days.

CoProduced by DocePuntoCero and Argos Cine/TV (argos.co.cr - Costa Rica, C.A. - 2008), shot by Pedro Rey, post by Fractal (FFRACTALL.COM / CINE-DIGITAL.NET / COSTA RICA).

Lumix GH13, C settings (thanks Vitaliy!).
Zeiss ZF 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, nikon20mm, stock 14-140mm.
All Cineform Neo4K workflow, color by Firstlight.

Hope you guys liket it.

1080 24p non native AVCHD

Hi Paul, thanks!
We used a hacked Lumix GH1 at 1080 24p non native AVCHD.
Did the pulldown with Neo4K (Cineform), color correction with Firstlight (also Cineform) and the post with Premiero Pro2.

did you experience any bugs with the hack? I hear reports of vertical streaking and other issues. Your video looks GREAT.

No bugs at all!

No vertical streaking, no crashes, no freezes... the hack just worked!
I even used some class 6 cards along with the Trascend class 10, and still no problems. I am guessing that the Zeiss´ low contrast and the shallow dof contributed to low detail scenes, so lower data rate.
