Skateboarding examples with the 20mm lens.
A couple of days ago while in Boston I took some videos of skateboarders practicing their moves. Since it was very cloudy and getting dark, I figured it would be much better to use the 20mm lens rather than the14-140mm lens. I left it on the intelligent Auto setting.
In these videos you will see how the auto focusing reacts to many different obstacles and just keep in mind that I’m sure it was on f/1.7 at least most of the time and it’s not as easy focusing as it would be if it was on something like f/5.6. As much as it would nice if this lens had a stabilizer, I’ve gotten so good that it doesn’t effect my shots that much as long as I’m mostly in one spot. These are also good examples to allow you to hear for yourself if the auto focusing noise is a problem. Anyway without further ado, here are the videos: I’m going to have to do this on a sunny day in another time to see how much better the auto focusing will be. |
