Using FZ2500 with Atomos Ninja Star
I am having trouble getting the Ninja Star to recognize the HDMI output. The HDMI works with an external monitor. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Using FZ2500 with Atomos Ninja Star
Atomos recorders only recognise AVCHD video ...I had the same issue on the FZ1000 ..I usually shoot in MP4 and it wouldn't recognise my input but if you use AVCHD mode on the camera it will see the HDMI output ... One word of caution though ...I was also using the HDMI passthough to feed a LiveStream Encoder and the encoder didn't like the AVCHD HDMI for some reason.
In your case simply switch to AVCHD mode on the camera and it will record fine. |

Re: Using FZ2500 with Atomos Ninja Star
If the HDMI is outputting progressive 24p or 60p the recorders can have issues as well. On my A7S I need to output good old vanilla 60i HDMI. The Atomos recorder will take care of the pulldown removal.

Thanks for the help.
I am trying to do the 4K down convert to the Atomos Ninja Star. It works fine with my GH4. |

Re: Using FZ2500 with Atomos Ninja Star
I have no problem for the Ninja Star to recognize my video. It is set on MOV, 25P 200Mb. I am in PAL land, so that works.
I have a problem getting the Ninja Star to automatically start/stop. Did anyone get that to work? |
