HC V770 - a question of power
Do you have a 770? if you do, could you tell me (before I commit to buying one) whether the live monitoring through from the HDMI output resumes if the power is turned off and then back on again. I'm planning to use one in a location where the power switch on the camcorder will not be very accessible. I was delighted to discover that the V510 I have came back on (and resumed live monitoring) after being powered down for an hour, but I now need a camcorder with a mic input, hence the quesiton. By the way, I will only be powering the camcorder from it's power adapter. I don't want to have a battery connected if I can avoid it.

Re: HC V770 - a question of power
In case anyone (and perhaps most likely a 'YouTuber'/Vodcaster) ever stumbles upon this, here's a reply I got from a 770 owner on YouTube - "I ve not used the hdmi output but the camera carries on recording / monitoring if you swap from battery to mains. It should be the same through the hdmi." As far as I'm concerned, that's as good as a yes.
