Cellonic battery for HC-X1

Hi all
Has anyone used this battery?
I've just bought an hc-x1 and bought a spare battery for it. It does work, and charges with the Panasonic charger.
My concern I've noticed is its voltage is 7.40v rather than the original 7.28v battery. It's made by cellonic of Germany and is stamped as compatible with AG-VBR59 and VW-VBD58.

I realise that it's perhaps not encouraged to use a non-standard battery but I saw a number of suppliers which offer this voltage of battery for this camcorder, so assumed that they're acceptable for the money.

Re: Cellonic battery for HC-X1

Such a small difference in voltage shouldn’t have any effect. Note all batteries change voltage. For example if you tested your car battery, new and fully charged it would be 12.6v not 12v. As a battery discharges the voltage begins to drop. Most batteries have more volts than they’re labeled as.

Btw I thought about getting a bigger battery for my camera to take the worry of it dying on long job but they’re so expensive. What’s this cellonic a generic battery?

It certainly drives the camera, but I can't help being concerned that the extra voltage might harm the cam.

It’s so inexpensive I’d be worried about it’s capacity and longevity. But if those are good that’s quite a deal.
