Online retailers: Whom to trust?
Hey everyone--Quick question about online retailers. I'm buying a DVX 100 and found the lowest two prices at etronics.com (3149) and ephotoclub.com (3129). I checked out both company's ratings on bizrate.com and etronics got a little bit better reviews, so I'm planning on ordering from them. Is this a good idea? I know b&h is more reputable, but their lowest is 3399 and the lowest I can get from a local store is 3299. SO even with shipping I'm saving my self a $100 by buying online. I just want to make sure I'm not getting grey market or otherwise unwarranteed gear. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

Yeah, resellerratings is the best place to check the reliability of these online guys. www.bhphotovideo.com is by far the best i've (or anyone else) have ever dealt with...and i'm sure many people here will tell you the same thing.. www.onecall.com and www.buydig.com are also good ones that I can recommend...check out resellerratings for others.

thanks guys. I checked out those retailers and the ratings were less than stellar, so I may stick with the local dealer--$100 buys a little piece of mind. Thanks for the suggestions!

If you buy from one of this forum's sponsors, you have the peace of mind knowing that you will have a good purchase experience. Plus you give support back to the forum in a round about way.

Looks like I may buy from Zotz Digital then. Plus they are in my home state of Oregon. Thanks again for the advice everyone!
