vhs to mini dv with dvx100??
hi there,
i am trying to digitise vhs to mini dv using a dvx100 but cannot seem to manage it. Can anyone advise if this is possible; as I appear to be snookered; my set up is scart out of the vcr into the inputs of the dvx100 (that is the 3 ports one yellow, red and white) so when i put the camera in camera mode it shows what the camera is pointing at and the feed only comes through when I switch the camera into vcr mode- but i cannot record in vcr mode?? does anyone have a solution to this or is it not possible - help is greatly appreciated Barry |

Barry:
There's no reason why, when your DVX is in VCR mode that it won't record. You seem to have your wires setup properly (the yellow, white and red RCA wires connected to the VIDEO OUT jacks in the VCR). Just make sure your camera is working and ready to record. I do what you do all the time with my little Sony DCR TRV20, that is, digitize VHS tapes to mini DV for editing. Check to make sure your camera record buttons are working properly (like pressing play and record).

Let me know if it works. If not, PM Barry Green. He's the DVX guru here and on the DVX Users website.
