feature film trailer shot on dvx 100a
hello everyone, i've been shooting video for about 9 months now and i thought i would post a clip of my first work.i wanted to go to school for film and directing but due to lack of money i had to setle on teaching myself. i worked long hrs. and saved up just enough to buy myself a dvx 100,final cut pro 5,and a mac.and read alot of books.so here you have it.please be as critical as you can i'm still learning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqGnkcBlP5E

I thought some shots looked a bit video-ish but it seemed to work for your story, like it was a documentary shot on the moment.
But your audio was very good. |

For being self-taught, you are well on your way to becoming quite the filmmaker. Acting and camera work looked danmed good on that 1:45 teaser. Pittsburgh is most definitely "in da house!" Good job!

Christian, Looks good the advice I have for you is to watch a lot of other trailers, and "Borrow" a lot of the things you see. It will help you with pacing and getting your story across in a short period of time. Keep up the good work. I liked what I saw.

thanks again everyone for the feedback.for my sound i used an me66.althogh for my next project i would like to use something a little bit better.
