DVX100a 24pa editing on which version of FCP?
(I hope I didn't put this in the wrong forum!)
I am planning to purchase a dvx100a so I can make the jump to the 24pa film look. I currently use Final Cut Express for editing with my GL2. I have read that for true 24pa editing, FCE will not work. I read the link below: http://www.rippletraining.com/editin..._pro_new_.html & I discovered that I need final Cut Pro. My question is which version of FCP will allow me to edit for 24pa? I plan to buy a copy of FCP off of ebay to save money. (The price tag for the latest version of FCP at the apple website is way out of my budget!) Any suggestions on which version of FCP will allow me to edit my 24pa footage?!?! Thanks! |

FCP 4 and up would be the easiest solution.

Keep in mind that until you get FCP, you can shoot in 24p standard, edit in FCE, and still enjoy the 24p aesthetic.

Thanks for the advice David! I may be doing that for a while until I can find a decent deal for a copy of FCP 4.
