Tapes
My DVX-100a came with Panasonic "Advanced Master" DV tapes. I've been reading that we're only supposed to be using "dry lube" Panasonic tape. Question is - will Standard Panasonic tapes "off the shelf" muck up the heads? What type of tape should I use, and what should I avoid?

I use SONY Premium which is a WET Tape system and I have had zero problems in 250 hours.

I've been using the Master quality tapes for about 190hours now, not any problems what so ever. They cost about 50% less than the Advanced master. I only use pana tapes in my cameras(dvc30 and a cheap sony cam as the "stunt camera")

Buy one brand and stick to that one brand in your camera. Changing brands (and mixing each brand's proprietary lubricant) mucks up heads.
