Tape Compartment Door DVX 100b
I've noticed that the DVX 100b tape compartment door seems to have a two stage opening process. When I press the little blue button, the outer tape compartment door clicks open halfway. I then have to manually open the door the rest of the way for the tape transport mechanism to eject the tape. Conversely, shutting the outer door is also a two stage process. When shutting the outer door, there's a distinctive halfway point click before I close the door all the way. I have never owned any previous versions of the DVX 100 and am wondering if this has been intentionally designed this way and why. My previous other brand camera tape transport doors click open all the way without a two stage process.
Thanks in advance for your responses. Regards, H

Thank you, Peter. I was wondering if my tape compartment door was broken. The two stage click is normal.
Thanks!
