DVX100B Model Names???

Hello,

I just received my first DVX100B that I ordered from B&H. I have a question that might sound a little dumb but I am a little confused by it’s the model name. I ordered Mfr # AGDVX100B (B&H # PAAGDVX100B) from B&H, however the paper work says that the B&H# is PAAGDVX100BJ, the box says AGDVX100BPS, and the camera says AG-DVX100BP.

What’s the deal? Any ideas? It’s a “P” after the model number usually for PAL? I just want to make sure that I am not getting a PAL version or a “B” version of the cameras.

Has anybody else noticed this or have one with the model #AG-DVX100BP?

Thanks,

Bryan

Nah, th e DVXA's box has a P on it too....I think its on all Panasonic USA models. As for the S's and such, yeah, that's new to the B and I don't think it's been determined what it means but it's definately nothing to get worked up about....go put that thing to use!

Thanks. I had to send it back. But, I have a new one coming. There were a couple things not working right on it. Does yours make a clunging noise when you pick it up and is your auto zoom extremely loud?

Well, the clunking noise is 100% normal but no, the zoom shouldnt be loud. The clunk happens when the camera is turned off...it's related to the image stablizer being "let go".
