Mic Mount for AG-MYA30G

From the pictures it appears that the XLR adapter has two screws for the microphone mount.

Does the two screw microphone mount come with the adapter or with the AGMC100G microphone?

If you want to use another mic, are the two screw off set mounts easy to find?

The mount came with the adapter and the width fits standard shotgun mics. I've also experienced that the mount doesn't transmit handling noises of the camera, which a direct shoe mount can do. The insular property of the mount comes from the fact that the two screws are dampened on both sides by rubber rings and the mic is held on two sides by rubber pads. This gives the mic a little play/flex in the mount.

Yes the XLR adapter is pretty good. The rubber bushings seem to do the job pretty good. Not as good as an Azden rubber band shoe mount that i got with my mic, but good enough not to have to use anything else. The other thing I noticed about the XLR mount is that if I'm using a long shotgun mic, it's located at the upper corner of the camera which keeps it out of view when using a wide angle lens better than a mount on the top of the handle. I have a dead cat on my shotgun and when I use the XLR mount, it stays out of the frame. When I use my Azden mount it sits in the middle and I find that I have to move the mic back further to keep it out of the frame.
