Power Turning Off?
Hello, all,
When I power on my DVX, after about 10 minutes or so, it just randomly shuts off. I am using the battery that came with the camera. Once I turn it on again after that first shut-off, the camera works fine and continues to run past ten minutes. I start the camera with scene file 5 (24P with cine-like gamma). Is this unusual? Do you think that it is the battery or the camera? Thanks. -Paul |

Neither -- it's the "tape protect" feature. Change the last menu item in the last menu from "power off" to "standby" and it won't turn off anymore.

Here is another possible reason if you are working in extreme temperatures. The battery PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) could have been triggered. Read about it in the 5th paragraph down at the link below.
