Panny kicks up the rebate program !!
For anyone buying a DVX, they just extended the NA rebate program for the DVX100a thru July 31. But now, in addition to Magic Bullet, the Barry Green book/DVD, and the $300 back, they are sending us a 5400 ma battery and 10 new formula MQ tapes.

Awesome~! Another reason to buy the DVX100A over the PD170.

Evan, don't complain, we just get the camera ;) And when you do email them to ask if they're doing a rebate, they say "No, we don't stock the NV-DX100 anymore" ;^)

John, is the extra battery and tapes from a particular retailer?
I checked on the B&H and Panasonic websites, and they only mention the Magic Bullet and DVX book. That would be awesome to pick up a high-capacity battery and some tapes. Thanks, Dan |

Ok, I did some more digging and here's the scoop, if you don't already know. The battery and tape thing is direct from Panasonic. The retailers will send you the software and DVX book/DVD, but Panasonic will send the tapes and battery themselves when the send out your rebate. So, it'll take 6-8 weeks to get the extra stuff, but at least it's free.

That is correct.
Also, keep in mind that the tapes they're giving away aren't the regular MQ tapes, these are the new, very-expensive Advanced Master Quality tapes (AMQ's). They carry a retail of $23.95 each. |
