How to capture DVX100 25P footage?
Hello all,
I am the proud owner of a DVX100 (PAL), but I am unsure how to capture 25P footage. I prefer to use Adobe Premiere, but my copy of Premiere 6.5 only lets me capture 50i; Premiere Pro adds an option called 'Panasonic 24p', but not 25p. Should I use another NLE, or is it still possible to capture 25p using Premiere? TIA! |

if u capture as 50i, your actual footage is still only 25p, as each of the 2 fields are carrying the 2:2 pulldown data..
u wont lose anything if u capture as 50i.. apart from the horrid interlacing of course..... :) |

But since he's capturing it interlaced, wouldn't it make any difference for editing workflow. I mean, when captured in progressive, one can work with the individual solid frames.
