Panic! Mystery flashing red x warning sign

Hi guys--Did a shoot today with two DVX100's (old and new models) and around the same time, both cameras had a mysterious red circle with an x through it pop onto screen in upper left...I also think it blinked. Running off of batts--both cameras only have PanaMQ tapes in them over lifetime. switched to new tapes and batts and warning disappeared. Reviewed tape and everything was fine. Any thoughts? Shooting with these again tomorrow with big (expensive) crew and dreading any problems during shoot tomorrow. Couldn't find anything in manual about this (sorry for abbreviated sent. structure!). thanks!

there 2 red symbols to keep an eye out for..

the red X in a circle means dirty heads.. OR the camera believes teh tape to have dirt on it (or sediment) could be a bad batch..
the fact that BOTh cams had the issue leads me to believe that its a bad batch of tapes.. but it could laso be from environment such as dusty or sand or smoke.. clogin head and trigering it...

the other one.. is the tape inhibit indicator.. one of my DVX's is dying now and im hammering Pana for a replacement as not only is my inhibit indicator flashing sometimes, but its also resetting my timecode.. then theres the battery level indicator which doesnt work and an optical stabiliser which throws epileptic fits..

run a head cleaner and if u keep having issues get it checked..
