Sounds great -- thanks for relaying this info, Stephen. I wonder if Charles can tell us who will be presenting the seminar. Much appreciated,

The presenters will be Frank Rohmer, J.D. Wilcox, Cawan Starks, and other talented people who understand shooting 24p and the issues that go with it.

Thank you, Charles... I figured Cawan would be there for sure, was just wondering who else will be helping out. Wish I could attend. You guys should consider coming out to Houston or Dallas!

If we presented in Dallas or Houston where is a good place to hold the Seminar?

I guess it depends on what ProMax requires, Charles... don't know how you feel about the meeting/convention facilities of larger hotels, but my vote in Dallas would be for the Wyndham Anatole across from the World Trade Center near downtown. This is where the Microsoft XP rollout event was last year.
I'm pretty sure there's a full-blown Apple facility in Dallas, and there's one in Austin as well if I'm not mistaken. Paul Sedillo, who co-moderates the Business Practices forum here, is from Houston and might have some input on this. He has been speaking to me about starting a Houston-based FCPUG and might have a better idea for an appropriate venue. Matter of fact, if ProMax is willing to come to Houston, I'm sure that would provide all the impetus Paul needs, and would be a great way to start off their first user group meeting... just thinking out loud. Now, that one I'd drive down to, in a heartbeat! |
