DVX100 help with playback
I was wondering. This may sound silly, but I don't know. If I were to playback a dvx100 MiniDV tape in another MiniDV camcorder will the quality of playback be the same?
Basically I wanted to view the MiniDv recorded in 24p Advanced on another camcorder to not wear down my dvx100 head....is this possible? Thanks, Chad Rego |

Absolutely the way to go. Digital is digital and it should playback fine on any Mini DV camera. It is definatly best to use something other than your expensive camera when capturing/ playing footage.

It's true. Digital is digital and it will playback just fine on any other mini-dv camcorder. For instance, I use my DVX100 to record weddings and to capture that footage to my NLE I use a Sony DCR-TRV8 camcorder. Works like a charm!

The DVX100 records onto tape in the standard 60i TV format. This is what allows the tape to be played back or edited using any ordinary DV system. You can still edit the true 24p by uploading the pulldown-converted images into your NLE.
