Well, it's real - a real SCAM.

The rules of life also apply to camera purchases - if it sounds too good to be true...

If you Google for Royal Camera you're unlikely to order anything from them. I believe the standard advice regarding NYC photo dealers is only to use B&H or Adorama.

Sounds like a "body only" sale if not a scam. Stay clear!

Some words from our Kennel master:
Quote:
Generally speaking, if the price seems too good to be true, then it is. We've assembled the best dealers in the business here at DV Info Net. You'll find them on our Sponsors page.

First of all, they're highly reputable. EVS and Zotz have a score of 10 out of 10 on Reseller Ratings. They're well known in the industry. They are top-tier video equipment dealers. B&H, everybody knows. They have an RR rating of 8.5 thereabouts. Again, an excellent outfit. All are fully authorized by the manufacturers.

Second, when you buy from them, you're giving back to DV Info Net just a little. This site is free to its members and always will be as long as we have support from sponsors like EVS, Zotz, B&H, ZGC etc. In addition to the tremendous customer care they all offer, you're also helping to support DV Info Net by doing business with them.

That's two excellent reasons to go through our site sponsors.

If you choose not to buy from our sponsors, and this is your own decision and your own business, then I will ask this of you:

Call the manufacturer of the item you're interested in and ask if this dealer is an authorized dealer. Don't ask the dealer -- ask the manufacturer. All the U.S. offices of the major camera makers maintain a list of authorized dealers. An unauthorized dealer means, no warranty protection. Period.

Thanks!
