Where to attach a wireless receiver and camera light on a DVX100A?

I'm considering buying a DVX100A to capture weddings. Where can a wireless mic receiver be attached (via velcro) on that camcorder?

Also, what's the options for a camera light and battery?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Will the DVX100A also be on a tripod?

The Frezzi Micro Fills get a lot of mention and you can read up on them by click here.

Also, if you have a chance checkout my DVX100A for sale in the classifieds.

Bob,

I shoot with a similarly designed DVC80. What I did is buy a compact digital camera case, drop my Samson UM32 receiver into it, and loop the camcorder's handstrap through the belt loop on the receiver case. It's less cumbersome than it sounds. Just be sure to take your mic receiver into the store with you to make sure you find a pouch that's nice and snug. The one I bought has elastic on the side that sandwhiches the wireless receiver between the front and rear panels. Total cost: $7.

For about $60, you can buy a Bracket1 reciever mount that attaches to the bottom of your camera. It hold the receiver at the back of your camera alongside the viewfinder. B&H sells the Bracket1.

Good luck!

wireless mic mount

Tim,

Thank you for the tip. By chance, do you have a photo of the attachment? As I grow older, my visualization abilities are fading.

Sincerely,

Bob
