scene file questions for PAL 25p

Hey there,

I'm going through the menus on the dvx102ae (same as dvx100ae) and I wanted to ask you all for some more advice. I'm planning to shoot in 25p - 16:9 squeeze mode for broadcast/DVD, and possible blow up to film:

1. DETAIL LEVEL/V DETAIL: Factory settings are at 0, yet I know that some DP's like to go as far as -7 on these. Any thoughts or opinions?

2. What settings have you found to be most successful for CHROMA LEVEL/CHROMA PHASE and MASTER PED?

3. What are the advantages to setting A. IRIS LEVEL to "-" or "+" values?

4. For GAMMA, the cine choices are CINE-LIKE, CINE-LIKE_D, and CINE-LIKE_V. Any recommendations? I understand that when working with any of these settings, it is suggested that the iris be lowered by 1/2 a stop.

5. V DETAIL FREQ: The choices are THIN, MID, and THICK. I'd be curious to know about any pros and cons for these settings.

A lot of questions I know. Your input on any one of them would be greatly appreciated.

I would like some info on the same questions.

I've looked at some of the pdf's on the site, these are helpful but still need some real world examples on what some of these settings can do and what one might be looking for in greater detail.
