dvx100 pull down error

Can anyone help me? I have an interview tommorrow and I keep getting an error: Tmecode error: Unable to loacte specified timecode. Is this a setup error? Can it be corrected to pull down my footage. Any help at all is greatly appreciated. I am usiing 24p, not the advanced mode.

Hugh,
I have changed the title of your thread to "time code error", which seems to be what you're experiencing. "Pull-down" is a very different topic.

It would be helpful if you told us more about your setup. For example, what nle are you using? Are you capturing directly from the camera? Etc.

Without knowing any more information I'd say you probably have some time code breaks on your tape. Perhaps due to reviewing footage during a shoot without carefully repositioning the tape?

Thanks for the reply. I am using FCP HD. NO matter where I try to set the clip the same error is received. Is there anyway to capture the entire tape and then choose the clip desired, if there is a problem with the timecode?

In your User Preferences, tell FCP to "Make New Clip" when it encounters time code breaks.

Prospectively, you need to be very meticulous to ensure that you carefully reposition the tape to within the end of the previous footage after reviewing footage. Otherwise you'll be in for more headaches. The DVX has a feature to find the end of the previous footage.
