Importing via Firewire

I just shot some footage with my dvx100a and I am trying to import into premiere, yet my computer wont automatically recognize the camera. Am I doing something wrong? Please help, i need to import this file asap.

Problem Fixed!

I just went to Best Buy and bought a new Firewire cable and it fixed the problem, thank God!
