DVC200 Viewfinder
Just picked up a new DVC200 with VF5 viewfinder. Noticed right out of the box I had to crank the viewfinder brightness almost all the way to the max to get a decent image in the finder. Middle of the road (around 12 oclock) is way too dark. Anyone else have this problem. Considered normal?

Nobody huh? Guess it doesn't matter right now. Returned the camera (with a hot pixel) and the viewfinder for good measure. We'll see what the replacements do.
BTW, the mods moved my original post to this section. Anyone using the DVC200? It has many of the same menu settings of the DVX100/80, and then some. I'm wondering if I should approach them in the same way. For example, reduce the master pedestal to get the blacks down where they should be. ??? Any users out there? |

There's only a couple of guys here who own a DVC200. I guess they're busy shooting.
Bruce Johnson did a review on the 200 a while back, you can probably find it at http://www.dv.com |
