DVX-100 vs DVX100A
Hi i am new to this forum. i have previously followed the mx forums as i own a mx-500(953). I am however interested in the dvx100 for my dad who films birds etc. I am just wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between the 2 cameras and any advantages/disadvantages with either. as i said i don't know much about the camera. The other choices are the xm2(Gl2) xl1s and the vx2000/pd150. what is the better camera for just general shooting and will the dvx stand up to these cameras with the obvious film advantages aside. also what is the 16:9 mode like is it as good as the 953 or better. is there any resolution loss.
Thanks for your help

But the 100A is the follow up of the 100. Check this forum, there is a lot of info with web references for the difference between the 100A and 100 version. Peter |

Adam Wilt has written a fly-by comparison of the 100 and 100A at the DV.com site. Look under the Features tab. (It requires free one-time registration, which will also give you access to the sites other features.)
