dubs - timecode & 24PA
Due to some timecode breaks I need to dub some 24PA tapes shot on the DVX100. THe question is -- by including new timecode am I in anyway removing the 24PA pulldown? The footage will be redubbed via firewire and eventually be edited in FCP 4.
Thanks for any help on this ----- |

I don't use the DVX100, but a friend that does tells me dubbing the tape should not effect the pulldown. I would try a short section first and test it for myself.

thanks Jeff
I've done a test dub (with new timecode) and it looks fine but I'm not sure how to determine if the pulldown is still there. That's my quandry: Will the NEW timecode effect the pulldown in any way. |

it will detect it, I have dubbed to everything from cheap dv camcorders, external camera mounted hard drives (like the quickstream) etc... if you use preset timecode you need to do it from cheap to the dvx though, as most consumer camcorders cant understand preset timecode.
