How much should I sell my DVX100 for?

Hey guys--I'm looking to sell my DVX100 but am having a tough time determining how much it's worth. It's in excellent shape, have had it since June, only used Panny MQ tapes, and has approx. 280 hours on heads. Any ideas? I searched ebay for listings but couldn't find ANY used DVX100's for sale--all new ones. Any thoughts? THanks!

Peter

Hey Peter, I saw a few used ones myself and they were going from $2500 to $2800 on average, depending on usage.

New ones on eBay are going for $2995 so you have to keep that in mind to be competitive. Many also include a few extras like bags or tapes. For an AG-DVX100 with 280 hours on the heads I would spend up to $2600, maybe $2700 if the extras were good. These are the most optimistic prices I would agree to but realistically if you can buy a new one for a few hundred more, and what with the AG-DVX100A out and about, its a tough sell. Maybe sell it for $2500?

got rid of mine for 2500 plus nice petrol bag and the free crap it came with (crappy tapes and filters). i wouldn't try and to sell it on ebay or the dv forums for more, because all these ppl know about the 100a and aren't gonna spend more than 2500 on a 100. but if you try craigslist or any other area where the ppl that go there aren't so up to date you could probably get around 2800 or so.

Peter, find out how much a new one costs, B&H price, then knock off 1/3. But do it quick, because the new A's are coming, and that will lower the value of the DVX100.
